Click to see SlideshowThe Avalon Airshow is Australia's premier display of civil and military aviation. Held every two years in the town of Avalon outside of Geelong in Victoria, the 2009 event was a smorgasbord of wings and military might.

I was fortunate enough to spend a couple of hours in the cockpit of a brand new PC12 in 2006 thanks to Pilatus Australia CEO Sebastian Lip. They were being readied for delivery to the West Australian Police Airwing and I took photos a measurments for the sim. A zip file containing detailed cockpit photos complete with measurements can be found in the download section.

This was a solo flight on a clear and beautiful winters day in June 2006. The flight takes you up the coast of Perth and back to Jandakot. Sometimes you just have to indulge!

This flight took place in March 2006 on a beautiful autumn day for a flight from Jandakot to Rottnest Island then around the Perth city centre. A flight I have taken many times, but still thoroughly enjoy. Friends Robbie & Alan were my guests on this flight and Alan took all the photos.

Another flight to Rottnest Island and Perth city, this one on Australia Day 2006. Not many others flying on that day, as they were all getting prepared (wasted!) for the fireworks display later that evening to celebrate Australia's federation.
