Simulations Solutions Australia are based at Jandakot Airport in Perth, Western Australia and run a full motion simulator specifically designed for pilot training and is fully CASA approved. Customers include China Southern Airlines which has a large training base in WA.
This simulator is designed to replicate most small twin engine piston and turbo prop aircraft. Installed aircraft include: Piper Seminole PA44, Baron B58, Cessna Conquest, Cessna Citation & Pilatus PC12. Flight simulator platform is Microsoft FSX and utlizes 6 computers, 5 running the visual displays and 1 running FSX. Each view has its own PC and Left & Right seat pilots have their own 180 degree view.
The simulator was recently upgraded to include dual GNS530 GPS units to replicate the systems in the real PA44 aircraft used for pilot training at the local flight schools. The hardware for these units was designed and built by Ruscool Electronics in New Zealand and GPS software by Mindstar Aviation.
